A Place In The Sun’s Laura Hamilton, 39, has opened up on her filming schedule for the favourite Channel 4 property show. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the presenter revealed that she isn’t told which sunny location she’ll be jetting off to until days before she is set to leave, while admitting that she’s more interested in the house hunters than the location.

She said that the presenters often aren’t told where they’re heading until just days before they jet off.

“We don’t often know where we’re going until two weeks before,” she said.

However, the fitness influencer went on to explain that she is more invested in the house hunters than the country she’s filming in.

She said: “I try not to get hung up too much on where I’m going but more about the people that I’m filming with because that’s what I’m invested in.

“I don’t have a favourite country to film in, I loved filming in Greece last year.”

The star went on to reveal that apart from her travels with the show, she’s toured the world independently.

She said: “I have been all over the world with the show but I’ve been all over the world anyway independently travelling.

“I loved South Africa as my dad was born there so it was amazing to go back there and film there.

However, Laura admitted that she did enjoy filming the show in one particularly exotic location.

“Obviously I’ve been all around the Caribbean with the show which is always nice,” she added.

Having travelled extensively around the world, the APITS host revealed that she’s more interested in the people than the destination.

“But for me, this probably sounds silly, but it’s not about the destinations, it’s about the people because ultimately you’re finding these people a house where they want to be,” she explained.

She added that her first question to producers is not where she’s going to be jetting off to.

She revealed: “When you’ve travelled a lot, if you tell me tomorrow I’m going to Italy or I’m going to Spain I’m like, ‘Okay amazing, but who am I filming with?'”

Her reveal comes as she has just finished a stint filming the show in Lisbon, Portugal.

The presenter’s trip was the first one this year and comes following the easing of coronavirus restrictions.

Taking to Instagram, she posted a picture of herself ready to jet off next to her suitcase.

She wrote: “Feeling VERY grateful this morning as I fly to Lisbon (a first) to start filming again with @aplaceinthesunofficial.

“I’ll be helping a lovely couple find a home on the Costa da Caparica and I can’t wait to meet them later for our House Hunter drinks!”

A Place In The Sun continues weekdays on Channel 4 at 4pm.
