Ant McPartlin and ex-wife Lisa Armstrong in fresh custody battle over Labrador Hurley

Ant McPartlin and Lisa Armstrong are said to be in a new custody battle over their Labrador, Hurley.

The pair were married for 11 years and filed for divorce in 2018.

Over four years on from officially ending their marriage, the pair are still in disputes over the division of their assets – with their dog now in the centre of recent battles.

Reportedly the former flames agreed to share custody of their dog, but now make-up artist Lisa, 46, wants full custody of the pooch.

Ant, 47, has two dogs with his new wife Anne-Marie Corbett, sparking Lisa to ask for Hurley to live with her full-time, Mail Online reports.

Britain’s Got Talent star Ant is said to be refusing to give up custody of Hurley, however.

A source told the publication: “Lisa has asked to have Hurley but Ant is saying no. He has two more dogs now, a new wife and two stepdaughters, but still he wants joint custody.

“It has led to some difficult conversations between Ant and Lisa. It’s all very sad. Ant has been able to move on, get remarried and get two more dogs. Lisa has been left to pick up the pieces.”

OK! have contacted Lisa and Ant’s reps for comment.

Hurley was adopted by the former couple, who do not have any children, in 2013.

During their initial divorce battle, Ant reportedly said that his ex could have “anything she wants” – except from Hurley.

He went on to add in an interview at the time: “There’s a loyalty and a love and a companionship with Hurley that you can’t describe. We still share quite evenly. Hurley’s welfare comes first and we both love him very much.”

Ant and Lisa confirmed the news of their divorce in 2018 in an emotional statement that described their break-up as a “difficult time” for the pair.

A spokesperson for the Saturday Night Take-Away star said at the time: “In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.

"Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families. No further statement will be made."

They met in 1994 and went on to wed in 2006 in Buckinghamshire where 150 of their nearest and dearest were in attendance.

Ant’s best pal Declan Donnelly was his best man.

Over a decade on from tying the knot, Ant ended up in rehab where he sought treatment for alcohol and prescription drug addiction.

Lisa stayed by her then-husband’s side through the hard times, with Ant later describing her as having been “amazing”.

Despite putting on a united front over the course of Ant’s ill health, the pair filed for divorce in 2018.
