Brett Young‘s celebrated “Lady” has risen to the top of Billboard’s Country Airplay chart dated April 3, earning the country star his sixth total and consecutive No. 1 on the tally.
“Lady,” the lead single from Young’s forthcoming third full-length studio album, rose 2-1 amid a 9 percent increase to 31 million audience impressions in the week ended March 28, according to MRC Data.
The track, which Young co-wrote with Ross Copperman and Jon Nite, was inspired by his young daughter Presley and his wife Taylor. The couple revealed earlier this year that they are expecting their second child.
“Any time you get to celebrate a No. 1 is special, but this one will always have a massive piece of my heart,” Young told Billboard. “I feel incredibly blessed to celebrate alongside Taylor and Presley as we await our next little ‘lady’ this year.”
He added, “Thank you to the fans and radio for the continuous support and for allowing the song to become a part of your own stories.”
Billboard noted Young’s six consecutive Country Airplay leaders give him the second-longest active streak after Luke Combs, who has had ten straight No. 1s.
