Fortunately the latest setback hasn’t been for very long as the health and safety protocols implemented allowed for fast action to be taken.

Earlier this year the first images from the set showed the cast enjoying a day at Royal Ascot.

The second series comes after the success of the first, which landed on Netflix on Christmas Day last year.

It focused on the romance between Daphne Bridgerton, played by Phoebe Dynevor, and Simon, Duke of Hastings, the role which Rege-Jean Page bade farewell to in April – to the dismay of his many fans.

The second instalment has a number of new cast members including, Liar’s Shelley Conn as Mary, Kate’s mother, and Mrs Wilson’s Calam Lynch as Theo Sharpe.
