Brit viewers slam Tom Grennans comment to Ellie Goulding in awkward moment

Ellie Goulding was left puzzled at The Brit Awards after Tom Grennan made a comment about her breasts as they presented an award together on stage.

Ellie, 36, and Tom, 27, headed on stage to present the award for Best Newcomer on Saturday and shared a bizarre exchange in front of the audience, which saw singer-songwriter Tom ask Ellie: “I love what you’re doing. These are your real boobs?”

Ellie, who wore a stunning all-black ensemble to the annual awards bash, responded: "No these are not. Mine are a lot further apart sadly. I wish,” with Tom awkwardly replying: “Sorry.”

Viewers at home were quick to comment on the awkward exchange, with many left unimpressed by Tom's comments.

"Tom Grennan casually verbally harassing Ellie Goulding on stage at the Brits with that "are those your actual breasts" comment and getting way with it is not a good look in 2023, lads," one person wrote.

A second said: "Tom Grennan thinking it was appropriate to ask Ellie Goulding if they were her real boobs, on the Brits stage, just gave me the quickest ick in a while. Like instantaneous sick in my mouth."

A third viewer tweeted: "'I love what you’re doing? Are those your real boobs?' Tom Grennan asks Ellie Goulding. That silence that followed was what was left of his career going up in smoke. #BRITs".

Elsewhere at the BRITs, host Mo Comedian had viewers in stitches as he called Lewis Capaldi by the wrong name before the singer took to the stage.

Comedian Mo, 34, mistakenly introduced 'Sam Capaldi' at the annual awards bash, leaving the audience and viewers at home confused.

Lewis didn't appear to acknowledge the blunder and continued to belt out his hit track Forget Me, with the audience going wild for the artist.

Mo later addressed his earlier name mistake, and jokingly told the crowd: "I have to apologise, I did call him Sam – it just goes to show how strong the drinks are at the Brits. They’re not playing around!"

Viewers were quick to point out Mo's mistake and took to social media to poke fun at the comedian.

"I'm such a huge fan of Sam Capaldi," one person sarcastically tweeted, as a second added: "Who is Sam Capaldi may I ask?"
