Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger have welcomed their first child together.
Katherine’s brother, Patrick Schwarzenegger, confirmed the happy news on Sunday.
He told Entertainment Tonight: ‘They’re doing great, just got her a little gift.’
Patrick then showed the camera a package with a pink ribbon on it although he did not confirm the baby’s gender.
Katherine is the actor’s second wife after actress Anna Faris, who he shares son Jack with.
They kept the pregnancy largely under wraps, with Chris confirming it on Twitter when his wife was nearing her due date.
Sharing a tweet about Katherine’s podcast, he wrote: ‘So proud of my darling for her amazing podcast. Nine months pregnant, in quarantine and still working her butt off. Check it out. Based on her NY Times best selling book! I’m a lucky lucky man.’
The couple wed in June 2019 in California following their engagement in January after seven months of dating.
Shortly after they tied the knot it was reported that the pair wanted to start a family pretty soon.
‘They both feel so blessed to have found each other, and they can’t wait to expand their family as soon as possible,’ a source told People.
Chris and Katherine are clearly family-oriented since Chris’s son has been part of their lives as a couple for some time.
The source added: ‘Instead of mostly enjoying solo, romantic dates, Chris’ son from early on was a very big part of their dating life.
‘Katherine is like a big kid and loves doing activities with Jack. She loves that Chris is a dad.’
‘It was intimate, moving and emotional. We feel so blessed to begin this new chapter of our lives,’ the Jurassic World star said of their big day.
Her dad Arnold Schwarzenegger was in attendance, as well as Katherine’s mum Maria Shriver, and the duo are thought to have played photographer during the nuptials.
Chris had told his ex-wife he planned to propose to Katherine in order to be ‘respectful’.
Anna joked that she was an ordained minister but said the proposal was an ‘awesome’ idea.
Chris and Anna were married for eight years and announced their split in 2017, before finalising their divorce a year later.
He had asked Terminator star Arnie for permission to marry his daughter before proposing and luckily for him, the Hollywood star is a big fan of Chris.
Speaking about their engagement news, Arnie said Chris is a ‘fantastic match’ for Katherine and that he ‘loves’ the Avengers star.
