Gogglebox: Dave and Shirley Griffiths joke about Australia
Dave and Shirley, who are much-loved cast members of Gogglebox, regularly keep viewers entertained with their witty comments and remarks on the Channel 4 show. The married couple sparked a frenzy when they took to Twitter today and detailed their struggles with family dog Rupert in a candid video.
Taking to the micro-blogging site, Dave revealed the couple’s beloved French bulldog refused to go outside into the cold weather to go to the bathroom.
In the hilarious clip, the 63-year-old Gogglebox cast member could be seen holding his pet pooch in his arms as Rupert refused to walk.
As Dave placed him onto the kitchen floor, he said: “Come on. Time to go for a pee.”
But Rupert nonchalantly rolled over onto his back, refusing to go outside.

“Come on. Let’s go pee, pee,” Dave enthused, as he proceeded to tap Rupert to stand up on all four legs.
The pet pooch remained immobile after much prodding from the Gogglebox cast member.
Dave lifted Rupert up from the floor and eventually his dog made his way into the garden.
“There’s a good boy,” the Channel 4 favourite mused.
In view of the couple’s 63,700 followers, they captioned the post: “As usual Rupert is a bundle of energy when it comes to the last toilet call of an evening,” followed by laughing emojis.
Dave added the hashtags: “#Gogglebox #frenchie #slumberland.”
Fans inundated the pair with comments, as many people could relate to the cheeky dog’s antics.
One remarked: “We know that struggle only too well! It usually takes two of us to move him.”
