Helena Bonham Carter wishes Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘good luck’

The cast of the hit show “The Crown,” which follows Queen Elizabeth II’s reign, commented on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s decision to exit the royal family.

“I think the world is their oyster,” Helena Bonham Carter — who plays Princess Margaret on the Netflix series — said on Sunday during the People, Entertainment Weekly & TNT’s SAG Awards Red Carpet Livestream when asked about what the couple should do next.

She added, “It will be very interesting to see what they do, but now they’re masters of their own destiny and good luck to them.”

Josh O’Connor, who plays Harry’s father, Prince Charles, also chimed in that they could “probably do anything.”

“I’m sure they’re very talented and can go off and do whatever they want. I hope so,” he said.

Harry, 35, and Meghan, 38, announced they were quitting the royal family on Jan. 8. On Sunday, Harry spoke out for the first time since the announcement.

“The decision that I have made for my wife and I to step back, is not one I made lightly. It was so many months of talks after so many years of challenges,” he said during a charity event. “And I know I haven’t always gotten it right, but as far as this goes, there really was no other option.”
