Jeremy Clarkson has revealed the moment he thought he had cancer during a trip to the bathroom.
Broadcaster Jeremy, 56, is well known for his sarcasm and jokes, and even with his recent bowel cancer scare he tried to find light at the end of the tunnel.
Describing the moment he 'figured' he had bowel cancer, he said: "I looked back to see what I'd produced and damn near had a heart attack."
Jeremy explained the "whole bowl was stained blood red," and in his comment piece on The Sun, wrote: "Well that's it, I've got bottom cancer."
Luckily for Jeremy, he had remembered about the plate of beetroot he hadn't finished off the night before.
Much to his surprise, he was shocked and relieved when he came across the plate containing the dark red vegetable in the fridge, automatically linking the two together.
The scare left him thinking about the next year of his life and his children including blogger and author Emily, 25, Finlo, 21, and 23-year-old Katya.
He was thinking: "Well, I won't be doing any of that," as he stared at the wall planner and spent a couple of hours touching their photographs.
