Kim Kardashian beats sister Kylie Jenner to 150m Instagram followers

Kim Kardashian might just be the most interesting one in her family to look at after all as she’s become the first of her siblings to reach 150 million Instagram followers.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star celebrated as she hit the staggering amount of followers in the early hours of Thursday morning.

In an Instagram story, the TV star simply wrote: ‘OMG 150 MILLION !!!!!’

It means Kim, 39, has managed to reach the milestone before her youngest sister Kylie Jenner, who is currently not too far behind with 148 million followers.

Of course, it’s possible Kylie, 22, could reach 150 million next week but no doubt Kim will relish in the fact that she beat her sibling to the post.

Kim celebrated the achievement by heading to her husband Kanye West’s outdoor screening of his album movie Jesus Is King, which is expected for release on Friday.

Currently, footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is the most followed celebrity on Instagram with 187 million followers, while Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is second with 159 million and Selena Gomez in third place with 158 million.

Ariana Grande comes in next with 165 million, while Beyonce is among the most followed with a cool 134 million and Taylor Swift with 122 million. Justin Bieber follows with a healthy 120 million followers.

Earlier this year, Kim Kardashian admitted she was ‘into selfies again’ after previously stating she would no longer post them on Instagram.

The KKW Beauty mogul had told Los Angeles cable channel KTLA: ‘I don’t really like them that much. I just, like, kind of moved on. It’s not all about sitting there taking selfies.

‘I used to spend so much of my time taking selfies. I would just like to live in real time a little more. I don’t mind pictures, but I’m just not on my phone the way that I used to be.’
