Linda Nolan, 62, took to Twitter to share a heartfelt message with her more than 10,000 followers about Sarah Harding’s tragic death. The Irish singer and actress had also been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Linda was told the cancer had spread to her hip in 2016.
In May 2020, she found out the incurable disease she is battling had also spread to her liver and underwent chemotherapy at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
Following the news of Sarah’s death, the Nolan Sisters star tweeted: “RIP Sarah Harding.
“Absolutely devastating – so young and a warrior to the very end.
“My thoughts are with her family and loved ones.”
Linda was one of many international celebrities who honoured Sarah’s memory.
Record producer Peter Waterman broke down in tears as he spoke of his “shock” upon receiving the tragic news.
He told Sky News: “This is a bit of a shock.”

“I remember going to her house in Manchester to tell her that she was picked to go into the group. I mean, she ran upstairs and was jumping on the bed with joy.
“She was typical of what it was all about, excitement, you know, just real enthusiasm.”
Fellow Girls Aloud band member Nadine Coyle shared a poignant tribute with her 449,000 Instagram followers this evening.
She uploaded a photograph of Sarah smiling and captioned it: “I am absolutely devastated!!

“I can’t think of words that could possibly express how I feel about this girl & what she means to me!!
“I know so many of you will be feeling this way.
“For now I’m sending so much love to you!!!”
Sarah’s mum Marie announced the news of her daughter’s death earlier this afternoon.
In view of Sarah’s 405,000 followers, Marie wrote on her daughter’s Instagram account: “It’s with deep heartbreak that today I’m sharing the news that my beautiful daughter Sarah has sadly passed away.
“Many of you will know of Sarah’s battle with cancer and that she fought so strongly from her diagnosis until her last day.
“She slipped away peacefully this morning. I’d like to thank everyone for their kind support over the past year.
“It meant the world to Sarah and it gave her great strength and comfort to know she was loved. I know she won’t want to be remembered for her fight against this terrible disease – she was a bright shining star and I hope that’s how she can be remembered instead.- Marie x”.
