Playing with his late mother in their garden back in 1986, Prince William gave a glimpse into the tenderhearted sibling rivalry between him and his younger brother, Prince Harry.
In the heartwarming throwback video taken at their home of Highgrove House, Princess Diana, who tragically died in August 1997, gave a glimpse into their lives at the time.
William would have been at the tender age of four during the time the footage was taken, while his little brother was just two-years-old.
The cheeky Prince wasn’t pleased when his mother threatened that Harry would be getting all the fun instead of him as he ran away from her.
As she called William to come to her and he refused with an unhappy glare, Diana, teased her eldest son saying: “Alright, Harry will get all the fun then.”
To which William protested by running to his mum and hilariously shouting: “No! No, no, no, no!”
Royal fans took to social media to agree with Diana’s parenting tactics.
“Aw she always seems like such a great mother,” they gushed. “‘That’s alright’”
“I used that same method myself with my own children,” said another with a grinning icon. “Worked wonders.”
While other fans pointed out how Diana would be disappointed to know of the rift between the two brothers urging them to make amends.
“This is really sad,” they said. “There mum wouldn’t be happy seeing that they aint on good terms right now they need to stick together.”
“That’s so cute,” another wrote with a cry face emoji. “I hope harry and william become close again.”
“It must upset her looking down on them,” they finished.
The brothers managed to put their differences aside after Harry and Meghan’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
In April, Harry flew over to the UK from his new home in the US to attend the funeral of his grandfather and husband of the Queen, Prince Philip.
Now, with children of their own we have no doubt that William and his brother spend their days guiding their little ones on the art of sharing and playing nicely.
William shares Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, six, and Prince Louise, three, with his wife Kate Middleton.
While Harry's wife Meghan Markle is due to welcome a little sister to their son Archie, two, in the summer of 2021.
