Oti Mabuse has shared some exciting career news today with her many fans. The Strictly Come Dancing professional has unveiled her children’s book, which will be read out on CBBC tonight.

However, she couldn’t help a cheeky jibe at the announcement after the official CBBC account called her out.

Posting earlier today on Twitter, Cbeebies shared a picture of Strictly contestant Rhys Stephenson.

Alongside this, they wrote: “Dance with @OtiMabuse… won’t @Nancy_xuxi get jealous?

“It’s OK, it’s the name of the book… Dance with Oti: The Bird Jive.

“Join @RhysStephenson1 at 6:50pm then stream on iPlayer.”

Reacting to the cheeky tweet, Oti screenshotted it to her Instagram account.

Alongside it, she penned: “Look at @cbeebieshq start drama.

“@rocketrhys reading my book this evening on BEDTIME STORIES.”

Rhys also reacted to the news, admitting he was thrilled to be part of the show.

Sharing Oti’s story, he penned: “Always ready to support this Queen!”

Oti released her children’s book earlier this year as she helped kids learn some dance moves.

The synopsis reads: “It’s time for Oti’s dance class! Join Oti in her dance studio and learn ‘The Bird Jive’ in ten easy steps.

“There are lots of children in Oti’s dance class – and lots of feelings, too.

“Meet Fikile in her sparkly new shoes and Naira who is SUPER excited to get started!

“Gan is feeling a little worried about joining in whilst Martin can’t wait to show his parents what he can do!

“But in the middle of their dance routine, an unexpected visitor disrupts the class.

“Not to fear, Oti is here! Soon they are back on track, getting ready for the performance of their lives.”

Reflecting on the book today, she opened up in view of her 170,000 Twitter followers.

Oti penned: “One of my personal biggest achievements was writing a children’s book and it’s only and made it on @CBeebiesHQ BEDTIME STORY and read by the lovely @RhysStephenson1 at 6:50pm tonight.

“Can’t wait x tell your little ones.”
