Paul Hollywood takes swipe at ex Summer Monteys-Fullam for 'selling stories'

Paul Hollywood has lashed out at his ex Summer Monteys-Fullam, accusing her of ‘selling stories’ and ‘continuously courting’ the paparazzi.

The 53-year-old’s relationship with Summer, 24, ended this week after the Great British Bake Off star asked the barmaid to sign a non-disclosure agreement banning her from discussing their private lives.

And in the wake of numerous stories about the split, Paul has taken to Instagram to subtly hit out at his ex.

The baker shared a selfie and wrote: ‘Morning all, thank you for your messages I’ve been receiving it means a lot. My silence on any matters is not a sign of weakness or agreement of what’s been said, merely I prefer a quiet life away from my day job!

‘Take what’s read with a pinch of salt and read between the lines. I know the public can’t be duped into believing what’s out there from a person making money selling stories! and continuously courting the paps…There’s always two sides to a story you’ve only heard one.. but alas I don’t play those games… thanks again.’

The post was liked by fans and friends including Bake Off champ Candice Brown.

Over the weekend, sources claimed Summer was ‘horrified’ at Paul’s ‘controlling’ behaviour and ended things ‘for good’ – just days after the TV star finalised his divorce from wife of 21 years, Alexandra.

Paul’s solicitor Tom Amlot released a statement confirming the split, saying: ‘I asked Summer to sign an NDA as is standard practise in order to protect Paul’s family and their private lives.

‘Summer insisted that she had no intention of selling any stories to the press and declined.

‘I think that her refusal to discuss or sign it caused concern, understandably, so it’s not entirely surprising that they have gone their separate ways.’

Summer, who met Paul while working at his local pub in the summer of 2017, reportedly decided ‘enough was enough’ and moved out of their £1 million home into her mum’s nearby house in Ickham, Kent.

Paul allegedly ‘hit the roof’ when she refused to sign the NDA and blocked her on social media.

‘Paul was really angry when she told him it was over. He clearly did not see it coming. She said she had been building towards this and that there was no future for them,’ the insider told The Sun.

It was also claimed Hollywood wanted his ex-wife Alex to sign an NDA as well, after their divorce is officially finalised later this year.
