He previously hit out at Liz Hurley for getting her 18 year old son to take topless pictures of her, but after realising it was actually her mother who took them, Piers Morgan has apologised to the actress.
The outspoken star, who confirmed the end of his friendship with Donald Trump, offered Liz, 55, a public apology on Wednesday's edition of Good Morning Britain.
Piers, also 55, began: "I want to apologise to Elizabeth Hurley. "I'm very sorry I called her 'thirsty' for posting topless pictures.

"I followed the newspaper lead that her son took them who is 18 as he regularly takes all her pictures and is a model and a photographer.
"But she says it wasn't her son. Apparently it was her 80 year old mother."
Despite apologising, Piers then took the opportunity to throw another dig at the model.
"How could an attention seeking narcissist cope," he expressed.
"Her job is stripping off let's be honest and they are lovely pictures, but it's a bit creepy getting your teenage son to get them.

"But her mother apparently takes amazing photographs. I would love to see her portfolio."
Continuing to hit out at her, the former Britain's Got Talent judge asked: "How long did you keep your mother in the snow?
"I am not so sure… If the moment the snow fell next time, would your first thought be I better grab my mum and get her to take endless topless pictures of me?
"You would not do that as it would be creepy as hell. Liz I think you have dug yourself an even bigger grave with that. It was your mother…weird," he said before laughing.
"I am not buying a word of it. I think it was Damian and I think she freaked at the coverage as it is creepy and she has now chucked her mum under the bus."

Piers, who defended his decision to fly to Antigua, previously labelled the topless pictures of Liz in the snow as "creepy" and "thirsty".
The mum-of-one took to Twitter to shut down speculation that her son took the pictures and clarified it was actually her mother.
She said: "Far be it for me to suggest the tabloids get their facts muddled, but these pics were in face taken by my 80 year old mother.
"Not entirely sure if that puts minds at rest or not," Liz added with a blowing kiss emoji.
