Sharon Stone, 61, recreates THAT famous Basic Instinct leg-crossing scene as she stuns the audience, including her teenage son, at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in Berlin

Her leg-crossing scene in hit 1992 movie Basic Instinct is one of the most iconic in modern movie history.

And Sharon Stone recreated that infamous scene on stage as she accepted the Woman of the Year Award at the GQ Men of the Year Awards at Komische Oper, Berlin on Thursday.

The actress, 61, dazzled in a plunging black mini dress as she wowed the audience, including her teenage son Roan Bronstein, 19, at the glittering event.

As she accepted her award, Sharon made her way onto the stage where she proceeded to sit on a chair to give her speech.

With a knowing smile on her face, the star then recreated her most well-known scene from 27 years ago to some extent, but without the shock factor, seeing as her young son was sitting in the crowd. 

The famous interrogation scene in Basic Instinct saw Sharon’s character Catherine Tramell quizzed by police including Michael Douglas.

Amid the bombardment of questions, Catherine distracts them when she uncrosses the recrosses her legs, leaving the men flustered seeing as she was underwear-free at the time.

The scene was highly controversial at the time, and now has gone down as one of the most infamous in movie history. 

Speaking onstage at the Awards, Sharon described the scene as one that had ‘changed my life’. 

She said: ‘Some years ago I was sitting on a sound stage, and my director said, “Can you hand me your underpants because we’re seeing them in the scene and you shouldn’t have underpants on but we won’t see anything”.  

‘I said, “sure.” I didn’t know this moment would change my life.’

She then encouraged everyone to recreate the scene, before thanking everyone for the award, adding: ‘there was a time when all I was, was a joke.’ 

The star looked sensational in the cleavage-baring, thigh-skimming sequinned number, which she wore with thin black tights and towering black heels. 

Earlier in the evening, she channeled the ’80s in a structured glittery black coat as she walked the red carpet with her son. 

The shimmering black pinstripe coat which came complete with large shoulder pads which dwarfed her slender frame.

She slicked her blonde hair off her face in a wet-look style and accentuated her youthful complexion with a glamorous make-up look.

Roan, meanwhile, cut a dapper figure in a navy blue suit, black shirt and matching bow tie.

The Mosaic actress and her second ex-husband, newspaper editor Phil Bronstein, adopted Roan in 2000 before their 2004 divorce and custody battle.

Sharon also serves as mother and father figure to sons Laird Vonne, 14, and Quinn Kelly, 13, whom she adopted in 2005 and 2006.

During the bitter divorce, the judge decided to award sole custody of Roan to Phil – with Sharon getting visits from her son every month.

‘My main concern is that I support him, I love him and am steady,’ she previously told AARP magazine.

And the pair appeared closer than ever, with Roan also joining the American actress on the red carpet at the Harper’s Bazaar Awards in Madrid on Tuesday.

Sharon previously told Harper’s Bazaar Spain that Hollywood – which has thrived for decades on featuring blonde beauties from Marilyn Monroe to Cameron Diaz – needs to expand its idea of what is beautiful.

‘We see beauty in so may ways in nature – we have to be willing to not fall to the commercialisation of beauty as only one thing,’ noted the star who has topped many Most Beautiful lists.

‘I love the way, especially now in fashion, we are starting to see women of all kinds of beauty. We need to accept beauty in all of its forms.’
