Vanessa Feltz took a swipe at her cheating ex Ben Ofoedu as she appeared on the first episode of the new Celebs Go Dating series on Sunday night.
The broadcaster, 61, has joined the lineup in a bid to find love again after she split from her long-time fiancé Ben, 51, in January.
The pair called it quits amid claims he had been unfaithful and exchanged ‘sex texts’ with another woman, which he later confirmed.
As she was introduced to the dating show Vanessa briefly chatted about her relationship history after being with Ben for 16 years as she criticised him being unfaithful.
She said in her intro ahead of the mixer: ‘Once the trust in a relationship has been thoroughly nuked you really can’t get it back again even if you try, and I did try.’

Vanessa added of her relationship status: ‘I never wanted single life and I don’t like being single, I fear being single.
‘I want to invest in someone. I want to invest my completely broken heart into someone.’
During the first episode Vanessa attended a mixer with the other celebs and was seen chatting to and flirting with a host of men.
It comes after last week Vanessa admitted she’s a ‘rotten picker’ of men as she revealed she’s been on 13 dates following her split from Ben while on the show.
The star confessed that the process has been ‘damn difficult.’
Speaking to Josie Gibson and Andi Peters on This Morning, Vanessa said that when a date doesn’t go well it is akin to ‘wading through treacle,’ and was tight-lipped on whether she’s kept in touch with any of her male suitors.
Speaking about her time on the show, Vanessa said: ‘I think dating is damn difficult. I’ve not done it for 17 years. I wouldn’t sit here and pretend it’s a breeze and a blast.
‘When it’s not going well it’s like wading through treakle. But when you meet someone it can be easy it can be bliss.
‘It can be great. It’s just a numbers game isn’t it… I have been a rotton picker, I haven’t been good at picking. I thought the agents must be able to do better than I can, they can’t do any worse.’

Oh no! Vanessa added of her relationship status: ‘I never wanted single life and I don’t like being single, I fear being single’
Grilled on whether she’s tested any dating snaps, she added: ‘I’ve never done it. I’ve never swiped left and right. I don’t have the apps. I’m hoping someone introduces me to someone nice at some point.’
Admitting she’d only seen one episode of the show before she signed up, Vanessa laughed off the prospect of a romance with any of her Celebs Go Dating co-stars.
She added: ‘Am I not old enough to be their mother or grandma – I was doing the maths. I did think gosh I’m a little more vintage and antique than they are.’
Vanessa revealed she went on 13 dates while appearing on the show, saying: ‘I think if you fancy someone you completely forget there are cameras.
‘There was one point where I yelled have we got enough in the can yet? My date looked mortified. The producers said I was tough in parts.’
The TalkTV star went onto admit that going on dates was akin to interviewing someone, adding: ‘I was like if I was going to interview someone, ”it wouldn’t be you sunshine, not you sweetheart”. You should be so lucky to be interviewed by me.
‘I was so nervous and my heart was thumping. Now I’ve done 13 dates, you get used to it.’
‘I thought I was delightful, charming, showing just the right about of cleavage, not too much,
‘I had anecdotes and listened to them, even though most didn’t have much to say. I thought I was flawless. But the people they lined me up with weren’t worthy of my charms.’
Struggling with the heartbreak, the star revealed the breakup caused her to lose her appetite and she estimates she has lost around two stone.
Now filming for the E4 celebrity dating show, Vanessa has revealed she is still looking for love.
‘Obviously I want him to have the looks of Omar Sharif, the poetic phraseology of WB Yeats and the humour of Billy Crystal, and I’d like some chemistry and magic,’ she revealed to Weekend Magazine.
‘People say, ‘Oh, when you get to your age, all you really want is a companion.’ Absolute tosh. When you get to this age, you want exactly what you wanted when you were 14.
‘You want to fall in love and be swept off your feet. You want to feel all the flutterings in all the different areas of your anatomy, because they’re still fluttering away when they get the right signals. You want some flutterings.’
Also joining the cast of Celebs Go Dating are Love Island stars Adam Collard, 27, and Chloe Burrows, 27, Made In Chelsea’s Mark-Francis Vandelli, 33, OnlyFans model Lottie Moss, 25 and comedian and internet personality Spuddz, who is in his late 20s.
The cast gathered together last Tuesday night to celebrate the press launch as they celebrated the series and danced the night away.

Discussing her dates so far, Vanessa revealed that sadly the first one was a big fail.
‘The first one, who I met for coffee, was a perfectly nice fellow. Polite, smelt nice, looked nice, but there was a distinct lack of spark between us,’ she said. ‘No chemistry at all.
‘I really did my best to be scintillating, hilarious, full of absolutely witty banter and enormously engaging.
‘I was trying to make the guy smile, but unfortunately he was an immutably serious person of a very Eeyorish countenance who really did look at the doom-laden side of life.’
