I transformed a garage into a cute tiny home – people are so jealous, they say it’s their dream pad | The Sun

A WOMAN totally transformed a tatty garage into a gorgeous, modern tiny home and everyone says it’s their dream pad.

Akana, who lives in Los Angeles in America, has given the internet a sneak peek inside her amazing tiny house which, just months before, was used to park a car.

Akana showed fans some pictures of grotty old garages with rotting wood and dirty floors, before opening the front door of her very own conversion.

“Come along with me as I give you a tour of my garage-turned-tiny house,” she says in the clip.

Starting in the kitchen, she shows footage of some plain white worktops in need of some character.

She added an island to fill the space and installed soft pink cabinet lights for a girly feel.

Then she used her wardrobe to divide the room and create a private office space.

“I didn’t have enough space for a full couch,” she admits. “So as an alternative I found this round foam chair on Amazon.

“It is dangerously comfortable.”

A tiny walled-off bathroom sits in the corner of the studio space, featuring a light-up mirror, neon purple lights and personalised towels.

“For the bedroom I like to be cosy so I tucked the bed into the corner,” she says, showing off her beige sleep space, just inches from the sofa.

Finally, she heads out into the garden.

Once a bland slab of concrete, it’s now a summery haven with bright green fake grass, some artificial plants, a dining table and chairs and even a hammock to relax on and enjoy the sun’s rays.

Thousands of people have tuned in to watch Akana’s tour on TikTok, and they’ve all fallen in love with her cute home.

One user replied: “Now that’s a dream house.”

A second said: “Your mini garage house is better than my actual house.”

A third commented: “Wait you actually live there? That’s so nice.”

And a fourth chimed: “This definitely gives Barbie Dream House.”
