Inside Baby Sussex’s nursery at Frogmore Cottage, featuring gender-neutral grey paint, a ‘mood screen’ and top-of-the-range crib

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have opted for a gender-neutral grey paint for their baby nursery at their new home of Frogmore Cottage, it has been revealed.

Meghan has reportedly spent £150,000 on the newborn's space, enlisting a German interiors company to decorate the nursery.

And it seems Meghan's tennis champ pal, Serena Williams has been offering her style advice, with a friend revealing the mum "played a massive role in helping design it".

While the Duke and Duchess' home in the grounds of Windsor Castle has had a £3m renovation, a friend believes the newborn's space alone has cost £150,000, which Meghan has paid.

German paper Braunschweiger Zeitung, revealed that the parents have selected "natural and grey tones".

Delighted with their royal coup Auro shared the news on its Facebook page writing: “We are very happy that the prince couple has decided for a product from our assortment!”

Meghan, 37, has also installed childproof windows and a £50,000 eco boiler as part of the renovations to the Grade II listed property in the Queen's Windsor estate, a source told Fabulous Digital earlier this year.

She has enlisted the help of top design director Vicky Charles – who's responsible for the pristine interiors at fashionable members club Soho Farmhouse, where the mum held her three-day hen do.

Meghan’s thought to have opted for a monochrome palette of whites and greys – but it’s not just the décor which will be achingly on-trend, as she's keen to make sure no animals were harmed in the making of the Royal baby's nursery.

It is believed that the couple have chosen to embrace technology, shunning royal traditions in favour of a state-of-the art nursery.

As part of the refurbishment, the nursery is said to be kitted out with the latest tech including cameras, security windows, a "mood screen" and a stereo system.

Royal expert Kate Nicholl revealed the Sussex’s plan on controlling the state-of-the-art nursery from the smartphones.

She told Vanity Fair: “They are going all out with the refurbishment of the house, and as Harry loves his gadgets, it’s going to be very cool.

“They’ll be able to control everything from their smart phones.”

The Duchess of Sussex was also gifted a dove-grey crib as during her baby shower in New York earlier this year.

Meghan’s friends splashed out on a $379 (£290) Hudson crib, from Babyletto, which is a 3-in-1 convertible crib with toddler bed conversion kit.

Meghan gave birth to a baby boy weighing 7lb 3oz, yesterday morning at 5.26am.

Yesterday, Prince Harry gave an impromptu press conference from Windsor.

The beaming dad couldn't stop gushing as he announced Meghan had given birth to a "very healthy baby boy".

"How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension. But we're both absolutely thrilled.

"We're both absolutely thrilled and so grateful for all the love and support from everybody out there, it's been amazing, so we just wanted to share this with everybody.

"I'm so incredibly proud of my wife.

"And as every father and parent would say, your baby is absolutely amazing.

"But this little thing is absolutely to die for so I'm absolutely over the moon."

In other royal news the Queen has now given Princes William and Harry permission to split their royal households permanently.

And Meghan’s friend George Clooney has come forward to defend the Duchess insisting “she hasn’t done anything wrong.”
