Kate Middleton embraced life returning to more of a normal state in 2021 like most Britons across the country, and her fashion certainly showcased this. Each of her outfits this year had “seismic influence” across the fashion industry, according to style experts. For instance there were Kate’s stunning monochrome looks she displayed at Wimbledon over the summer.

She also attended the Euro 2020 Final at Wembley Stadium in July in a regal-looking white blazer and massive statement red earrings for £65 from Blaiz.

And who can forget the Duchess of Cambridge’s show-stopping, jaw-dropping Jenny Packham gold dress she wore to the James Bond premiere for No Time To Die in September.

Appearances at the Earthshot Prize Awards, the Royal Variety Performance, and the Together at Christmas carol concert all contributed to Kate having one of her best fashion year’s.

New research has revealed the most influential outfits worn by Kate during 2021.

The study conducted by creative resource Design Bundles analysed Google Trends data to establish which of the Duchess’ outfits sparked the most interest online.

The most popular look of Kate’s this year, according to the research, was her gold sequinned dress outfit for the No Time to Die premiere back in September.

This was 669 percent above the average search volume for the Duchess’ outfits.

The show stopping Jenny Packham dress was paired with matching gold earrings by Onitaa and a citrine cocktail ring.

The second most influential outfit from Kate was her look from her tenth-wedding anniversary Instagram post in April.

The Duchess wore a £195 bohemian-style floral Ghost maxi dress.

Searches for Kate’s outfit rose 146 percent above the average search volume for the Duchess’ dresses.

The third most influential look of Kate’s was on March 11, 2021, when Kate and Prince William visited a school in east London to congratulate teachers involved in the re-opening of the school following lockdown restrictions.

The Duchess sported a pastel pink Boden shirt and coat alongside pink lip gloss which caused searches for Kate’s style to rise by 123 percent above the average monthly volume.

This appearance was made a day after Meghan and Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Kate’s appearance at the women’s singles final at Wimbledon on July 10, 2021 sparked a 92 percent rise in interest for her outfits, the fourth largest spike of the year, thanks to a clover-green Emilia Wickstead dress.

The Duchess’ recycled yet iconic Alexander McQueen Grecian-style gown, first debuted on the Duchess in 2011, for her appearance at the first Earthshot Prize Awards in October marked the fifth most influential look for Kate, with searches for her outfit peaking 54 percent above the average level.

A spokesperson for Design Bundles commented on the findings exclusively for Express.co.uk.

They said: “Ever since Kate joined the Royal Family over a decade ago, she has displayed an extraordinary ability to use her clothes to make statements and compliment causes and events that are dear to her.

“It is evident from the choices the Duchess makes that every outfit is meticulously thought out and these choices are paying off, with this study revealing the seismic influence that Kate has on the fashion industry.

“Even simple touches such as wearing a green dress for a Wimbledon event to emulate the tone of the arena, highlights Kate’s willingness to put a lot of effort into the pieces she wears without overshadowing the events she attends.”
