Meghan and Harry latest news – Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle 'MUST end feud and use coronavirus to break the ice'

KATE and Meghan must end their feud and use the global pandemic to break the ice says an expert.

It's rumoured Kate was notoriously cold to the newest royal, Meg leaving the duchess disappointed, but now one royal expert says it's time to make up.

Michael Cloonan, a life-caoch and relationship expert told The Daily Star Online: "Pick up the phone, break the ice, and at the moment there is no better time in the world to do that.

"People experiencing strained relationships should use lockdown to do that, pick up the phone and speak your mind, distance does make the heart grow fonder. It always seems bigger than it is."

Meghan and Kate can utilise the unprecedented situation to make friends, an expert has said.

Michael Cloonan, a life-caoch and relationship expert told The Daily Star Online: “Pick up the phone, break the ice, and at the moment there is no better time in the world to do that.

“People experiencing strained relationships should use lockdown to do that, pick up the phone and speak your mind, distance does make the heart grow fonder. It always seems bigger than it is.”

Prince Harry has reportedly torpedoed his chances of returning to military royal duties after speaking out on the US election.

As part of the agreement when they left royal duties, Harry stepped down from his beloved military roles.

The Queen agreed to keep positions open in the review period so he could perhaps return in the future.

But a royal isnider told The Times: “The door was left open. There were some things that Harry hoped he could opt back into.

“He dearly wants to hang on to the Royal Marines and the military appointments. That will be harder now.”

Last year’s royal travel budget showed Meghan and Harry caught 11 charter flights and two passenger jets on their ten-day tour to Africa last September, at a cost of £245,643 to the taxpayer.

The trip was notable for Harry releasing a statement accusing the British press of a “ruthless campaign” against his wife.

The next priciest engagement was Prince Charles’s last-minute private jet from Aberdeen to Oman following the death of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said in January.

Meghan’s gorgeous royal tour outfits also sent a secret message, one stylist says.

According to one celebrity stylist, the clues that Meghan was struggling with her role in the Royal Family were there to see in her royal tour wardrobe.

Meghan Markle would “seriously consider running for US president” if she and Prince Harry ditched their royal titles, say reports.

The remarkable claim comes just days after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex controversially spoke out about the importance of the upcoming American election.

“One of the reasons she was so keen not to give up her American citizenship was so she had the option to go into politics,” an insider close to the couple reportedly told Vanity Fair's Katie Nicholl.

“I think if Meghan and Harry ever gave up their titles she would seriously consider running for president.”

However, those working close to the Duchess say she has no plans to enter the cutthroat world of politics.

Life as Meghan Markle knew it changed forever when she married Prince Harry – and who can blame her for occasionally missing her pre-royal life?

During her royal tour to Dublin in 2018, Meghan stopped to talk to well-wishers from the public after visiting the Irish Emigration Museum.

One of the people she spoke to was a woman called Fiona Moore, who said: “I'm a fan of Suits and I said to her that I miss it and she said 'so do I.’”

According to the Daily Mail, Fiona added: “Meghan appeared ‘very relaxed and was joking and laughing’.”

Meghan made her mark on the world of TV when she landed the role of paralegal-turned-lawyer Rachel Zane in hit show Suits in 2011.

She starred in the show from the very first episode, but left at the end of season seven.

What do you buy for the woman who has it all? Well, when Meghan Markle met sister-in-law Kate for the first time, she certainly made a winning choice.

According to reports, the first time Prince Harry introduced his then-girlfriend Meghan, to Prince William and Kate, it was around the time of Kate's 35th birthday.

And Meghan didn't turn up empty handed.

Apparently, Harry and Meghan popped over to Kate and Will's apartment in Kensington Palace, and during the meet, Meghan presented Kate with a very thoughtful gift.

“Meg had bought Kate a small birthday present – a very smart leather-bound ‘dream diary’ for her thoughts and ideas which Kate loved,” revealed a pal.

When Meghan Markle stepped out with Prince Harry to the WellChild Awards in 2018, all eyes were on The Duchess of Sussex's outfit.

And while the former Suits actress looked incredible in an Altuzarra suit, eagle-eyed fans noticed she was wearing a pair of pearl earrings, gifted to her by the Queen.

Apparently, the earrings – which are said to be taken from the Queen's own collection – have a very special meaning.

According to Bellatory, pearls “symbolise wisdom [and] attract wealth and luck as well as offer protection”.

They're also said to have a calming effect and symbolise “purity, generosity, integrity and loyalty”.

The royal has worn the jewellery before, during her first solo outing with Her Maj in Cheshire.

Prince Harry "reevaluated life as a royal" after being left out of photos on The Queen's desk during her Christmas speech, an expert has claimed.

Appearing in the Channel 5 documentary Harry and Meghan: The New Revelations, royal expert Russell Meyers claimed the Duke of Sussex was “upset” when a portrait of him, Meghan and Archie didn't feature among other images of the Royal Family.

The expert said: “The lack of photograph of them during the Queen's Christmas speech obviously had an effect on [Meghan and Harry].”

Arguing that this made Harry “reevaluate life as a royal”, they added: “They felt it was a slight, they felt put out.”

During her Christmas speech last year, The Queen had four framed family photos on her desk at Buckingham Palace – including one of her father King George VI and another of her husband Prince Philip.

There was also a photo of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall as well as a portrait of Prince William, Kate Middleton and their children George, Louisand Charlotte.

Meghan Markle's teacher has revealed how she was a “leader among school friends” and always “stood up for the underdog”.

Ilise Faye – who taught the Duchess of Sussex until she was 13 years old – opened up about her classroom memories of the young royal in a documentary which aired last year.

She said: “Meghan was one of those children that would stand up for underdog.

“She would stand up for what she believed in, and she was a leader among her friends, her peer group.”

The teacher added: “School was important to her, learning was important and she had a voice.”

They might have stepped down as senior working Royals in March – but at the height of their fame, an expert claimed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were at risk of "eclipsing" other members of the Royal Family.

Speaking on Yahoo’s Royal Box, royal author Katie Nicholl said: “I think it's fair to say that Meghan and Harry have really occupied the spotlight. Since the royal wedding they are rarely off the front pages.

“I think there is a risk that they could eclipse other members of the royal family.

“We are already seeing more column inches dedicated to Meghan and Harry than we are to the Cambridges and certainly to the Prince of Wales.

“You only need to look back in time to Diana and the phenomenon that she was and actually the negatives that came with eclipsing her husband it did have, at points, a negative knock on effect to the monarchy.”

Not long before she met Prince Harry, Meghan Markle vowed to live a “life less stifled” and to “take a risk”.

In 2014, the then-actress took to her lifestyle website The Tig to write a special New Year message for her fans.

The post was uploaded a year and a half before Meghan was introduced to Prince Harry on a blind date in early July 2016.

Meghan wrote of 2015: “May this year bring you endless joy.

“I hope you take a risk, that you do something that gives you butterflies in the pit of your belly, that you live a life less stifled, and that you exceed your own expectations. You absolutely can and you absolutely must.”

Meghan, who was starring in Suits at the time of the post, also revealed: “Without question this is the happiest I have ever been – personally, professionally, wholly.”

When Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance on America's Got Talent this week, she treated fans to a glimpse of the chic living room of her new Santa Barbara mansion.

NEW ID‼️ These beautiful art prints behind Meghan are part of a trio of prints from @barlogastudios ‘Nest Study’ Series. @barlogastudios is comprised of father & son duo, Dennis & Roy Barloga who operate their studio out of Northern California (yet another ode to Meghan’s home state ❤️). Meghan’s specific study’s are 2, 8 and 11 and hers are in what appears to be the 20”x30” size. These images feature varying bird nest photos that are printed on interesting textured papers (I’m not able to determine which material hers are). The most interesting detail that caught my eye is the way in which these are displayed and hung. Specific to their studio, they offer a super unique “frameless leather and steel hanger” which we can clearly see outlining Meghan’s prints. 🔅I will include the links to Meghan’s pieces as well as the hangers in my stories! • • • • #meghanmarkle #meghansclosetchronicles #meghanmarklefans #meghanmarklefashion #meghanmarklestyle #weloveyoumeghan #marklesparkle #duchessmeghan #duchess #duchessofsussex #sussexsquad #sussex #sussexroyal #royal #royalfamily #royalfashion #royalstyle #fashion #homedecor #barlogastudios #birdnest #photography #modern #art #look #outfit #style #replimeghan #mirrormeg #fashionblogger

Along with a £47 Diptyque candle and some VERY woke books, the Duchess has displayed a set of three pieces of artwork by Barloga Studio's ‘Nest Study’ Series above her sofa.

According to the fan Instagram account Meghan's Closest Chronicles, the former Suits actress spent £165 on the sketches and framed them with leather straps.

Shortly after Megxit was announced in January, Meghan Markle flew back to Canada to be reunited with baby Archie and kept a low profile for a few months.

Aww such a nice and rare picture to wake up to! 🌸 Thank you to those who sent me this image via messages. It is a photo of Meghan in Canada, January 2020 at the checkout line at @wholefoodsbc 🇨🇦. According to the person who took it: Meghan approached her friend who was carrying an ergo baby carrier and said “your baby is so adorable” and mentioned them having the same baby carrier☺️. Meghan was described as “super low key and down to earth”. For those having doubts you can actually see her security detail behind her! 😉 This photo originated from a twitter account called @__mrswrigs. #meghanmarkle #duchessofsussex #royalfamily #britishroyals #royals #princeharry

Although the Duchess was rarely pictured in that time, a royal fan claims to have run into Meghan in a Whole Foods near the £11m mansion where she was staying with Archie and Harry.

Sharing a photo of a woman at the checkout (which they claim to be Meghan) on Instagram, the royal fan said the Duchess approached their friend because she had the same baby carrier for Archie.

Describing her as “down-to-earth”, the caption reads: “Meghan approached her friend who was carrying an ergo baby carrier and said “your baby is so adorable” and mentioned them having the same baby carrier.”

They may have just settled into their new £11m mansion in Santa Barbara – but Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expected to cross the pond next summer to see the unveiling of a new Princess Diana statue, a royal expert has claimed.

Appearing on the Heirpod podcast, royal author Omid Scobie – who co-authored the biography Finding Freedom – claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have “many reasons” to be based in the UK next summer.

He explained: “In March, we have the Invictus Games, which has been rescheduled, in the Hague.

“In June, we have Trooping the Colour, which I imagine Prince Harry and Meghan would like to still be at, and July 1, we have the unveiling of the Princess Diana statue.”

Rather than travelling back-and-forth between the UK and their new Santa Barbara home, the expert believes Meghan, Harry and their one-year-old son Archie will be based in their Windsor home Frogmore Cottage.

He added: “I would not be surprised if we saw the Sussexes spend an extended period of time in the UK next year.”

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they were stepping down as senior Royals in January, the couple unveiled their new working plans on their Sussex Royal website.

But according to the new bombshell biography Finding Freedom, this move was “deeply unsettling” to other members of the Royal Family, especially The Queen.

The book claims: “Aides and family members knew the couple wanted to step back, but the website, which laid out the details of their half-in-half-out model as if it were a done deal, put the Queen in a difficult position.”

Shortly after Harry and Meghan announced the news on social media, Buckingham Palace released a short statement confirming the news and recognising their desire to do things “differently”.

“The element of surprise, the blindsiding of the Queen, for the other principals who are all very mindful of this, rightfully, it was deeply unsettling,” the biography claims. “The family is very private and bringing it into the public domain, when they were told not to, hurt the Queen.

“It was laying out what the Sussexes wanted in a statement without consulting with Her Majesty first – and she's the head of the institution.”

There's no denying Meghan Markle looked every inch a princess at her wedding – right down to her impeccable manicure.

Like plenty of brides-to-be, Meghan spent the days before the wedding having beauty treatments – including going for a facial at Sarah Chapman's luxury Skinesis salon in London.

And it's now been revealed that the Duchess also had a mani-pedi at DryBy nail salon in London's Marylebone.

According to British Vogue, the exclusive nail salon created a bespoke bridal manicure for the Duchess of Sussex – who opted for a gel finish to avoid any chips.

In order to create the perfect chic shade of pink, the nail technician reportedly used one layer of CND's Unmasked and two coats of Negligee on the top of Meghan's fingernails and Cashmere Wrap on her toes.

WHEN Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced they were stepping down as senior members of the Royal Family in January, the news sent shockwaves through the institution.

But according to one celebrity stylist, the clues that Meghan was struggling with her role in the Royal Family were there to see in her royal tour wardrobe.

On her royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga in October 2018, Meghan's outfits were estimated to be worth a cool £50,000.

The Duchess' show-stopping dress featured intricate laser-cut black birds which highlighted the evening's environmental cause – but celebrity stylist Lucas Armitage says it also showed how she wanted "break free" from royal constraints.

He told Fabulous Digital: “The dress was absolutely stunning but could have revealed a few clues Meghan wasn’t happy with her place as a senior royal.

“The illusion neck line give a strapless appearance which would traditionally be against royal protocol and, coupled with bare legs, gives this outfit an edge of rebellion.”

A study has found that the British monarchy works harder and costs taxpayers less than their European counterparts.

The Times reported that the Constitution Unit at University College London found only the Belgian and Spanish royal families cost less per head of the population.

In 2017-18 the Sovereign Grant was £75.1million, or £1.14 per person, according to The Role of Monarchy in Modern Democracy.

The grant is the taxpayer money that funds the official activities of the royal family – and is partially funded by the Queen's Crown Estate profits.

The British royal family was also found to carry out more engagements than those on the other side of the Channel.

The Queen is said to be disappointed with Harry and Meghan's recent video message about voting in the United States.

Her Majesty's officials in Buckingham Palace reportedly sent a message to Prince Harry after the Duke of Sussex broke with royal protocol this week by intervening in the US presidential election.

Royal expert Richard Mineards told Access Hollywood: “Buckingham Palace were asked for a comment about how they perceive the situation and they said they do not comment on non-working royal members.

“That is really a double whammy for both Harry and Meghan because to be called non-working royals means they have been sidelined.

“Harry likes to perceives himself still to be a working royal, although somewhat limited now that he lives in the US.

“He still wants to be involved in royal ceremonies and royal activities, although it's limited by virtue of where he lives.”

Earlier this week, Meghan made a surprise appearance on America's Got Talent and showed off a new lighter hairstyle.

The mum-of-one recorded a special message for finalist Archie Williams – and looked super chic as per usual.

Meghan was sporting some warm cinnamon coloured highlights which are said to be right on trend for Autumn.

The new hair colour was noticeably different from Meghan's usual dark locks.

According to a new survey, more than two-thirds of Britons believe that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should have their titles taken away from them after they stepped down from royal life.

The study for Tatler magazine was gathered last month by research consultancy Savanta Comres, and polled 4,174 British adults and only included results from those who expressed an opinion when questioned.

The data showed that 68 per cent of Britons think that the couple should have their titles as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex taken from them.

Prince Harry has been urged to stand up to wife Meghan Markle after they released a video about voting in the United States.

Royal commentators Dan Wootton and Dawn Neesom spoke about the clip during Dan's radio show and argued Harry should insist that pair remain politically neutral.

Dan said: “I say that for the moment Prince Harry remains the obedient, nodding wannabe first man.

“He is chipping in on Meghan Markle's pet projects with perfectly scripted woke-ism British princely charm.

“But what happens when Prince Harry actually stands up to Meghan for the first time?

“What happens when Harry says no Meghan I am actually going to put the sanctity of the institution that I was brought up in first?

“I actually shudder to think what would happen because I can't imagine Meghan would take it very well.”

Dawn admitted that she thought it was unlikely Harry would stand up to Meghan on the issue of becoming too political.

She added: “He is never going to stand up to her, he is the very definition of a henpecked husband.”

President of the United States Donald Trump has made his feelings known about Meghan after she and Harry urged Americans to vote in the upcoming presidential election.

“I'm not a fan of hers,” the US president told reporters at a White House press briefing.

“I would say this – and she has probably has heard that – I wish a lot of luck to Harry because he's going to need it,” he added.
