“It's very, very simple and it will convince anybody who does not like sprouts, that sprouts are a superior veg.

“I love them personally. I think they're like little mini cabbages and they're absolutely delicious.”

If you fancy following Poppy’s recipe, all you need to do is: “Get your sprouts cut in half into a bowl with some melted butter, salt and pepper.

“Then tip that straight into your air fryer. You don't need to do anything else.

“I've got some bacon lardons which are already chopped from the shop. They're just gonna go and sit on top.

“Then you get that into air fryer at 180 degrees for five minutes.

“Then you gonna get some chopped chestnuts, you know the ones that are in the pack ready to go.

“Just give them a chop and after that five minutes, throw them in there as well, give it another little toss and put it back on for another 10 minutes – five to 10 minutes or so.”

Once the cooking time was over, Poppy served up her delicious dish and continued: “And you'll have these beautiful and bloomingly lovely cooked sprouts.

“You'll have crispy bacon bits and those lovely chestnuts, having a little bit of Christmassy sweetness.

“And then you can serve it straight away with your Christmas dinner.

“It's that easy you can actually make this on the day.

“And sprouts are the best. Please, I promise you.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @poppycooks, has clearly left many totally stunned, as it was shared just 14 hours ago, but has quickly racked up a staggering 230,300 views.
