People in hysterics over job ad for nanny – you need a ‘master's degree & no social media’ and it only pays £164 a week | The Sun

WE ALL want to make sure our kids are in the best hands when we aren't around.

But one mum of four has left the internet in hysterics over her extensive list of requirements she wants form a nanny – despite only paying them £164 a week.

The mum put out a call-out on Facebook hoping someone would bite at the chance to work for her.

Instead, she was slammed in the comments for her unrealistic expectations.

The post, uploaded by 'Tammy' advertised for a babysitter for her four children 'aged two, three, five and seven' starting 'ASAP' from noon to 6pm every week day and the occasional weekend.

As if looking after four children wasn't hard enough, the mum had a huge list of requirements she wanted the babysitter to excel in.

These included being a 'great cook and avid cleaner.'

The babysitter had to be over the age of 25 and have no tattoos or piercings.

More bizarre essentials the mum listed included needing a master's degree for the babysitting position as well as no social media presence.

The seemingly helicopter mum also wanted a 25-year-old who didn't drink, smoke or vape and had five professional references she could contact.

She also wanted a full background check and to have a drug test be conducted.

To top it off, she was only willing to pay the lucky employee £164 ($200) a week and wanted them to have their own transport to get to and from her house as well as run the mum's errands for her.

People who spotted the job advert were baffled and couldn't believe the mum's checklist.

Many claimed it would be an impossible role to fill while others were horrified by the measly pay on offer.

Someone else added: "I’m gonna give her the benefit of the doubt… her husband told her she needed to go back to work, and she said she would as soon as she found a decent babysitter. So she ran this ridiculous ad in hopes to never actually find a babysitter."
