After their first collaboration earlier this year, Amsterdam-based Pop Trading Company has reunited with Camper for another footwear capsule. Whereas the last collection focused on Pop Trading Company’s skate heritage, this collaboration also introduces a “post-skate” boot.
The “post-skate” boot is a reworking of Camper’s Hardwood silhouette. Pop Trading Company have taken the the Chelsea Boot-inspired shoe and reworked it, with premium nubuck uppers contrasted against technical details including elastic laces on the back. This silhouette is due to release in “Dark Purple/Violet,” “Hunting Green/Yellow” and “Washed Grey/Black.”

Additionally, Pop has returned to the Runner XL silhouette. The Amsterdam-based label has stripped the silhouette back to its basics, dressing its puffed leather upper in either classic black or white.
Launching the collaboration, Pop co-founder Peter Kolks explained the before/after skating theme throughout the collection, “We have come up with a new iteration of the Before runner model in a sporty leather option, both plain white and black as we are in love with this shoe. Camper allowed us to design this one from scratch for our SS20 season in which we dropped 2 suede options, we figured some basic leather is always good to have.”

“The After shoe, meant for your after skateboarding chill, is based on Camper’s Hardwood chelsea boot, a good option for the colder months ahead. We made3 suede options and added a little technical detail in the form of an adjustable cord and toggle around the ankle, went for a durable Vibram outsole and worked on the shape. All colors are taken from our FW20 mainline collection which as always is our way of incorporating colors in our collaborations throughout the seasons.”
