We put the latest swimming gear to the test after pools and gyms re-open

WITH pools, gyms and sports facilities open again, swimming is a brilliant way to keep fit – and destress at the same time.

Today we size up the latest swimming gear, while our Beauty Editor tests out cleansers with hyaluronic acid, which traps water to boost moisture.

For a comfortable fit and budget price, Speedo Futura Biofuse Flexiseal goggles are ideal.

The flexible seal fits round the eyes and the contours of the face, leaving no marks. With anti-fog coating and wide-vision lenses, they didn’t steam up and gave full visibility in the pool. I loved these.

The Zone3 Strap-Back is designed for regular training while being comfortable.

The open back allows full shoulder movements and the lightweight straps don’t dig in but instead lie flat on your chest. This comes in six colourful designs and is chlorine-proof. Stylish and practical for regular swimmers.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser for Dry Skin, 200ml, £5.33, boots.com: A new, lightweight gel that activates with water to lather off dirt, oil and make-up, while giving skin a boost of hydration thanks to the hyaluronic acid.

I wasn’t a huge fan –  I struggled to get all the lather off and my skin felt a bit tight afterwards. Not great for very dry skin.

CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser, 236ml, £9.50, lookfantastic.com:
Foaming cleansers can strip the moisture from normal or sensitive skin.

This deep-cleans without harming the skin through a mix of ceramides, hyaluronic acid and amino acids. I liked it. Not a fancy bottle but a simple cleanser that got rid of all my make-up.

Dr Dennis Gross Hyaluronic Marine Meltaway Cleanser 150ml, £30, spacenk.com: Hyaluronic acid mixed with amino-rich marine algae and vitamin B for skin elasticity, plus aloe and kiwi-fruit extract to soothe and moisturise.

You don’t have to wash it off and it is safe to use around the eyes. Best for dry skin.
