Parents have also been taking inspiration from popular villains, with the use of names such as Kylo and Ursula increasing greatly over recent years.

The study also showed that in both 2017 and 2019, 12 babies were given the name Bellatrix, making it the most-used villainous title.

Hannibal has also been used occasionally, and a handful of newborns are named Balthazer each year, in reference to witches.

Further research also showed that Harry Potter characters were a huge source of inspiration for parents-to-be.

19 babies had been named Lucius, after the Slytherin fox from Harry Potter, while Draco also occasionally appears as a popular choice on the list.
