Hardware shop slams customers who don’t wear masks with brutal sign

A hardware store took action against customers who kept walking in without masks on.

Employees at the New York-based shop stuck a brutally honest note on the door.

It reads: “MASK REQUIRED IN THIS STORE.

“If you choose NOT to wear a mask we respectfully ask you to postpone your visit here.

“We will be happy to debate the efficacy of masks with you when this is all over and you come in to buy a ‘fore sale sign’ for your dead parents’ stuff.”

A picture of the notice went viral on Reddit, where it garnered more than 37,200 upvotes.

The majority of responders thought the harsh notice was brilliant.

One commenter remarked: “This is why I'm glad I work for a small business.

“I can border line abuse sh*tty customers and kick their asses out with no worry of the owner firing me.

Another said: “This is absolutely brilliant!”

A third wrote: “How to murder with a single sentence.”

And a fourth added: “Hahahaha that is fantastic!”

While the majority of comments were positive, some thought the message was over the top and admitted they wouldn't respond well if they saw it in real life.

A Redditor responded: “Condescending much?”

Another said: “Until they go out of business. It's more likely someone else buys their foreclosed store.”

And a third threatened: “I would open door. Grab sign and rip it up. A***holes.”
