  • A youthful looking woman was hit with criticisms and told to "dress her age" and after she showed off her new wardobe staple.

Ms Dongan, who lives in Canada, bought a tennis dress from fashionable activewear brand Halara and she tried it on to show fans how functional it is.

Standing in front of the mirror, the 43-year-old shows off her long, slim legs and toned back in a white cut-out twisted tennis dress. She flips the skirt up to reveal two hidden pockets on the side and the built-in shorts.

"Full coverage, to keep you confident for movement," she said.

Her video has left people wondering her age but many were in shock when Ms Dongan revealed she is 43 years old. Some said the clothes are too revealing and not modest.

"Every woman who values herself should wear modest and cover herself, not just present herself as a toy for sale," one complained.

"Act your age," another commented and a third added: "People in their 40s should act like they are in 40s, not like 16."

To hit back at the trolls, the influencer put on another Halara outfit — a backless cropped yoga top and a blue high-waisted split skirt with built-in shorts.

She said: "Depending on the outfit, you can make yourself look young! I wear whatever I want regardless of my age. All I care about is how I value myself. That is the most important."

Ms Dongan wanted to encourage other women to wear what they like despite their age and added: "I want to let them know I can try new things even though I'm old and I'm a mum."

Halara is currently doing a half-price sale site-wide and is giving shoppers a free tote bag for any orders over £114.

You can find comfortable athleisure pants like this shaping leggings with tummy control fabric, or casual lounge top with tie back details.
