Is EE down? How to check the status in your area | The Sun

HUNDREDS of EE customers have been left without signal or internet this afternoon – here's what to do.

EE is owned by BT Group, which has around 26.8million household customers.

Is EE down?

As of 17.30pm today, there were over 700 reports from customers.

Over 50% of the customer reports said they had no internet.

EE last saw issues with its service on October 14 2021.

Customers were unable to login to the My EE app and website.

O2, Virgin, Tesco, Three and GiffGaff also experienced tech problems on the same day, due to a problem affecting multiple providers.

How do I check the service status of EE?

EE has a dedicated web page where you can find out if there are any problems in your area.

Click here to visit the EE service update website.

To find out if there are problems in your area, enter your postcode.

How can I contact EE and am I entitled to compensation?

You can get in touch with EE by phone, post or online – see the EE contact website for more information.

You can also speak to EE via its live chat service.

If you're a mobile customer and you suffer from a lack of service then depending on the circumstance you may be entitled to a refund or account credit.

Contact EE to find out what they can offer you.

You may also have the right to leave if you're without service for a sustained period of time.

If your problem is still unresolved after eight weeks, you can complain to an independent Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme.
