DEAR DEIDRE: I HAVE been making myself sick ever since my mum was involved in a hit-and-run which nearly killed her.
It happened not far from our house and I was one of the first on the scene.
She suffered appalling injuries and it was touch and go whether she would make it.
Seeing her lying injured was the most horrific thing I have ever seen in my life. I’m a 30-year-old guy but I was only 15 at the time.
My teeth are badly affected because of the vomiting and I’m very underweight. My family constantly tell me how skinny I am. I used to love food but can only bear to eat soft fruit, crisps or chocolate.
Even when I do eat I can’t chew and swallow it. I’m getting to the stage where I don’t see the point in being here, living every day like this.
