Meghan Markle's close friend has defended the royal and insisteed she has never had a 'diva fit'.
Her makeup artist Daniel Martin burst into tears as he defended the actress on CBS television, arguing she did not deserve the negative publicity.
American actor Janina Gavankar also rallied to the defence of her friend, telling the broadcaster that the Duchess of Sussex avoids reading articles about herself.
Daniel said: "I know she doesn’t deserve all of this negative press. What’s so frustrating is that you hear these stories and there’s no truth to them.
"It’s not the same person. In the years I’ve known her, the years I’ve worked with her, she’s never had a diva fit, never."
He added that the royal couple's son, Archie, will "represent what the world is now", describing his birth as "the dawn of a new generation".
Meghan, 37, was branded 'Duchess Difficult' for allegedly mistreating staff and clashing with senior royals.
Janina, who attended Meghan's baby shower in February, added: "She doesn’t read the bad or the good because… she knows the metrics that you have for your own life cannot be based on a headline that somebody else wrote."
The True Blood star said the birth of Archie on May 6 was a monumental moment for the royals as he has become the first mixed race child in the family.
She said: "There are still a lot of us who didn’t even grow up with dolls that look like us."
The pair's comments will be broadcast in a CBS special report with Gayle King, called 'Meghan and Harry Plus One', which airs tonight.
Buckingham Palace recently asked royal followers to treat Meghan and Kate with more respect, following a wave of abuse on social media.
