A young mother has proudly showed off her incredible post-birth body transformation after shedding four dress sizes by simply working out just 28 minutes a day in her living room.
Retail worker Tess Papaioannou, from Melbourne, said she was struggling with baby weight after she gave birth to her daughter Reeva in 2016.
At her heaviest, the 27-year-old tipped the scales at 74 kilos – and wore clothing size 12 to 14 – but she was determined to get on top her of weight once and for all.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the mother-of-two revealed how she banish her tummy to get a toned physique with washboard abs after losing 22 kilos in the comfort of her home.
‘I was a new mum, home all day, and I was able to do it all in my lounge room at a time that suited me,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.
Before embarking on her weight loss journey, she said her first pregnancy with her daughter Reeva in 2016 led to weight gain.
‘I felt so uncomfortable when I was pregnant. I was not an “all belly”, “glowing” pregnant woman, I gained weight everywhere and hated it,’ she said.

‘Before my transformation, I was never into anything fitness related, it didn’t interest me, I always wanted to lose a little weight I just never had the motivation or enough interest to do it.
‘But I was extremely uncomfortable, I hated how I looked and felt. I was lacking so much confidence.’
Before she found out she was expecting her first child, Mrs Papaioannou said she was always ‘average’.
‘I was never overweight as such, I also wasn’t on the skinny side. I’ve never stuck to a diet or healthy eating.
‘I was eating whatever I liked whenever I liked, during and before pregnancy.’
But her turning point came after she became a first time mother.
‘The drive and motivation to lose weight and stick to it came from all the negative feelings I felt towards myself during and after pregnancy,’ she said.
She signed up to 28 by Sam Wood – an Australian weight loss program designed to encourage people to exercise just 28 minutes day.
‘It’s a variety of exercises and full body workouts that require minimal equipment, I have a mat and three different weight dumbbells,’ Mrs Papaioannou said.
‘All from home. I have never been to the gym. Though I would actually love to go now – never went or wanted to go before babies.
‘But it’s too difficult with two little girls, my husband works long hours, six days a week so home is all that’s possible.’

Mrs Papaioannou – who now weighs 52kg and wears size 6 clothing – said there’s no excuses for new mothers ‘struggling’ to find time to lose weight after giving birth
Within seven months, she dropped 18.3 kilos after her first child in 2016. After giving birth to her second daughter Aria in April 2018, she lost 14 kilos.
‘I’m lighter now than I ever was pre babies,’ she said.
‘Also, I absolutely cannot believe I have abs now. I signed up to lose weight, but I never imagined I’d look and feel as fit as I do now.

‘Everyone can find 28 minutes in their day,’ she said.
‘Whether it’s while the babies are sleeping, playing or eating. I always make sure my girls are fed and happy to play or sleeping and I get my workout done – not always without interruptions but it’s still done.’
