Edinburgh-based Gavin has said that there is in fact no financial payout for appearing on the hit show, and instead you’ll only receive money if you’re left on standby and don’t end up getting air time.

Gavin told iNews: “You don't get paid if you're on the show. If you're on standby and you don't appear on the show then you get paid £75 for being in the room."

Going on to explain his reasons for being on the controversial show, Gavin, who works as a bar manager, explained: “They put up an advert on Facebook and it said there was a lack of interest from Scottish people.

"A few friends tagged me in it and said this would be perfect for you because half of Edinburgh has seen me naked at some point – I have a bit of a tendency to take my kit off – so I took them up on their offer. Then I applied and got invited for an audition."

But what’s the addition process like? Well, apparently that’s a kit off occasion too, with Gavin explaining: “I went down to Newcastle, sat down and chatted with a camerawoman and a male interviewee.

"Then they said 'can you take your clothes off now and pitch yourself to us?' It lasted about 45 minutes. It wasn't so awkward, they made me feel at ease."

He carried on to say: "It was all very good fun, good banter. It's sort of what you get in a football dressing room, everyone taking the p*ss out of themselves. Most of the people who appear on the show are quite like-minded."

But have any of the couple’s we saw hug in the nude actually remained intertwined?

Well, it does appear that the show has had one success story.

Gemma Warren and James North both appeared on the show in 2017. The couple first met when Gemma selected James' genitals (and face) to go on a date with.

In a previous interview with OK! Magazine Gemma said: "They [James and her family] get on a like a house on fire and my family find the way we met hilarious.

“We’re hoping to move in together next year and marry one day. It may seem mad that I saw my boyfriend naked before I knew anything about him, but it worked and we’re so happy.

The young mother also spoke of how the attraction was instant in an interview with Closer Magazine, revealing: "I kept catching his eyes and he’d smile at me.

“It was like we had a connection. He seemed genuine and, when I got naked and we hugged, it wasn’t awkward. He complimented my body, which gave me a confidence boost as I was worried I didn’t look good after having kids."
