‘She’s going to be single forever after this!’ This Morning viewers ridicule woman claiming she’s in love with a ghost – and that their ‘relationship’ is ‘very emotionally driven’

  • She recalled being first ‘visited’ by the spirit Eduardo, a Victorian soldier
  • However This Morning viewers were quick to ridicule Brocarde’s claims

This Morning viewers have mocked a woman after she claimed she’s in love with a ghost called Eduardo.

Singer-songwriter Brocarde, 38, from Oxfordshire, appeared on the ITV programme today to share how her ‘relationship’ – which she says is ‘very feeling and emotional driven’ – started.

She recalled being first ‘visited’ by the spirit Eduardo, a Victorian soldier who died prematurely at 35 after falling down a well, during a thunderstorm as she struggled to sleep following a disagreement with a friend.

However, while Brocarde insisted that a spirit joining her is the only ‘logical conclusion’ for the odd moments she experiences – such as a feeling of being ’embraced’, ruined notepads and hearts sketched on her shower – viewers ridiculed her claims.

Speaking to hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’leary, Brocarde (pictured) chatted about the first time she thought she’d met the spirit

One person said on Twitter: ‘I might record this episode for when I’m having a bad day. My days!’

Another wrote: ‘Oh dear, where do they get these guests! And how do they keep themselves from laughing.’

A third added: ‘My logical conclusion… is to switch off’, while a fourth said: ‘She’s going to be single forever after this.’

Speaking to hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’leary, Brocarde chatted about the first time she thought she’d met the spirit.

She said: ‘It was a typical horror movie day, I was at home, I had fallen out with one of my friends, I was really, really upset, I was trying to fathom what was going on with my friendships, and I felt this burning sensation in my heart.

Reaction: While Brocarde insisted that a spirit joining her is the only ‘logical conclusion’ for the odd moments she experiences – such as a feeling of being ’embraced’, ruined notepads and hearts sketched on her shower – viewers ridiculed her claims

‘My chest was exploding, it was a physical burning and a deep pain in my chest. It was alarming because initially it was really intense and I was struggling to breath.

‘I was propelled forward. I was shaking, I was sweating and tears streaming down my face… I reached over to my bedside table to try and turn the light on and this hand grabbed my arm and threw it back.’

Presenter Dermot was quick to ask Brocarde when she first saw Eduardo, to which she responded: ‘I saw a figure just pass and then nothing.’

She went on to claim that the spirit now seemed to be jealous – pushing her hand to ruin her makeup before she goes out with other men – and even appears when she is in the shower and draws love hearts for her.

‘A year and a half this spirit has been around, and it’s got progressively more intense,’ she said. ‘You’ll feel like a breath of air going around your body, I’ll feel like I’m being embraced, I’ll feel hands surrounding me.

‘I literally feel there is someone I have a loyalty to, there’s a possession there,’ she added. ‘It’s very feeling and emotional driven.’

But she admitted that she’s ‘questioned her relationship a lot’ but that this is the ‘logical conclusion’.
