A polyamorous throuple plan to put all of their names on their baby's birth certificate.
ChaCha Va Voom, 31, was supported throughout her pregnancy by her son's biological dad Jimmy Silva, 33, and their wife Summer Palltier, 27.
Her two partners held her hand as she delivered the newborn in hospital a week ago.
And after the little one was born, many of their followers were curious about how they were going to raise him.
ChaCha said: “Typically there’s two people on a birth certificate but there’s three of us – so a lot of people have been asking about that.”
To raise the baby as equals, ChaCha, Jimmy and Summer all want to be listed as parents on the birth certificate.
The throuple have drawn inspiration from gay dads Ian Jenkins, Alan Mayfield and Jeremy Allen Hodges, who made legal history when they became the world's first trio to be named on their kids' birth certificates.
Jimmy explained: “We kind of got the idea from this triad – who are also in California – who were able to get all three people in their certificate…
“We wanna get the child used to Summer, ChaCha and me.
“What if one day we’re not happy with each other? It wouldn’t be a benefit for the child to all of a sudden not see one of us.
“So we’re doing this for the child and not for us."
Jimmy added: “We want the child to be able to see his mummy, his other mummy and his daddy.
“We will be in his life until he doesn’t want anything to do with any of us. I’ll pray that never happens.”
Summer and ChaCha echo these thoughts and believe it's an advantage for a child to be raised by three parents.
This way, the baby may get even more love than a traditional family could give.
Summer said: “We’re going to do everything we can to make sure our baby is protected and taken care of – from all of our ends.
“I think that’s one of the good things about being in a polyamorous family.
“Hopefully our baby doesn’t ever have to worry about stuff because he has all of us.”
And ChaCha added: “The love that we’re going to share, we want it to be for a lifetime and not just temporary.
"This is really important for us."
