He made Piers Morgan storm off Good Morning Britain and branded his behaviour “diabolical” after they clashed over Meghan Markle.

And GMB presenter Alex Beresford, 40, has garnered a legion of fans after people took to Twitter to applaud him for calling out Piers on live TV.

When did Alex Beresford join Good Morning Britain?

Alex was born in Bristol and worked on The West Tonight on ITV West before he re-trained as a weather presenter in 2005.

In 2007 he started presenting the national ITV weather before he was set to join ITV’s Daybreak permanently in 2012 but quit for personal reasons.

Daybreak was axed in 2014 and replaced by GMB where Alex has continued to step in for fellow weather presenter Laura Tobin.

In August last year Alex made his debut role as a guest presenter on the ITV show.

Is Alex Beresford married?

Alex still lives in Bristol and shares 11-year-old son Cruz with his ex-wife Natalia Natkaniec after they separated in 2019.

What does Alex Beresford do when he is not on GMB?

Alex started presenting ITV’s All Around Britain in September last year. In October he joined GMB Political Editor Ranvir Singh at Kew Gardens.

The TV presenter has 68,700 Instagram followers and can be found working out in his home gym.
