Many of us only post pictures of ourselves to social media that show us in the best light.
But an influencer is trying to show that you don’t always have to strive for perfection.
Karina Irby, a swimwear designer from Australia, uploaded a photo she wouldn’t typically share with her 1.1 million followers.
The 31-year-old resisted the urge to delete the snap and embraced her natural beauty instead.
On Instagram, she wrote: “NOT MY FAV. I snapped this pic on the weekend and definitely didn’t think I would be posting it.
“But like I say… sometimes it’s important to post our candid content without all the angles, posing and lighting.”
Karina added: “So here it is. My body can look like this.
“What do you prefer me to post… posed or candid? Let me know in the comments.”
The picture garnered more than 43,000 likes and fans gushed that Karina looks stunning in the candid selfie.
One commenter said: “I love the REAL posts. They make me feels much better about myself because we have similar bodies.
“I feel more beautiful when I see you because I think you look great. So why wouldn’t I feel that way about myself too?”
Another agreed: “100% candid. Both are gorg but nothing beats being in the moment.”
A third wrote: “Beautiful both ways. Candid makes it fun to relate too.”
And a fourth added: “This pic is amazing. Natural beauty.”
