In this week’s OK! magazine, we catch up with the runners-up of The X Factor: Celebrity , twin pop stars and social media giants, Max and Harvey.
The 17 year-olds from Berkshire spoke to us on one of their rare days off from touring and working. That’s how they like it, though. The two of them enjoy having their diaries full.
“We couldn’t have taken more than one day off because we hate not keeping busy,” Harvey admits. “We’re always filming or singing.”

The duo released their debut single One More Day In Love back in 2016, but it’s online that Max and Harvey have really made an impact. Starting off by showing off their talent on Musical.ly, the boys soon amassed more than a million followers online. It was this popularity that had Simon Cowell ask for them personally for The X Factor: Celebrity.
We wondered if it’s easier for the pair – as twins – to sing together? Do they have that famous telepathy that a lot of twins claim to have?
“It’s a lot easier to perform on stage as brothers,” reveals Max. “We do think similarly so it does make it a lot easier to sing together and our voices sound the same. You saying telepathic – you’re on the right line.”
The twin telepathy helps when things go wrong on stage, by all accounts. “Especially when we play the guitar,” says Harvey. “It’s usually me telling Max that he needs to speed up or slow down. It’s really easy to say one word or make one hand gesture and he knows what I’m on about.”
Who would be your dream guest on the upcoming tour?
“Martin Bashir!” joked Max. “We posted on Instagram a picture of us saying that people should go and get tickets to see us on tour. So, then I decided to post that same picture saying, ‘If this post gets 5,000 comments, we will bring Martin Bashir out on stage with us during one of the shows on our tour.’ Within hours the post had got 5,000 comments, so that might be happening!”
When we asked what the weirdest thing a fan of theirs has done, Harvey replied: “A couple of years ago in New York, we were walking through Times Square when all of a sudden this girl of about 15 started screaming at the top of her lungs to the point where there was about 300 people looking in our direction, concerned…”
Max takes up the tale: “Her mum was almost in tears because she thought she was having a seizure or something!”
We also asked the twins how they're planning to balance the upcoming tour with their personal lives and the boys definitely sound like they have a plan…

“We’re still enrolled in college and they’re being really good with us at the moment because it’s a music college,” replied Harvey. “Everything that we’re doing right now is music based so they’re putting everything towards our credit. It’s almost like doing work experience towards your grades,” he continued.
Sounds like the boys have got it all worked out.
