CHELSEA made it seven straight away wins under Frank Lampard with a 2-1 win over Watford that was far more comfortable than the scoreline suggested.

The Blues produced some scintillating football at Vicarage Road and were on course for a thumping win, before VAR intervened and infuriated the Blues' boss.

But Chelsea's winter transfer business hangs in the balance, with a date set for their appeal hearing to see if they can sign new players in January.

  • FRANK LAMPARD is “very happy” with his squad as Chelsea prepare to appeal their transfer ban.

    The Blues boss said: “Very interested. But I have no comment right now. I don't know enough of the legals to delve.

    “It can affect what we can do, but it is a little down my list. We have Ajax and Palace.

    “We are on a good run. It is a nice feeling [that some fans don't want ban overturned].

    “We will always look to improve if we can, but I am very happy with what I've got.”
