Ex-Arsenal star Jack Wilshere is free agent with NO transfer offers but admits 'I don't know how long I can wait'

JACK WILSHERE has admitted that 'nothing has come up yet' with regards to finding a new club.

The ex-Arsenal and England ace is a free agent, after being released by Bournemouth at the end of last season.

Fully fit and raring to go, the 29-year-old is desperate to get back into the game.

But it's been a frustratingly slow process for him.

Asked on talkSPORT about his future by co-host Darren Bent, he said: "Erm… woah… that’s a big question, Benty.

"I’ve actually had a good pre-season. I’ve been training with a club just to keep myself fit. I’m in a good place, physically. I’m 29…

"I’m waiting for the right opportunity to come up, to be honest, mate.

"But, having said that, nothing has come up at the minute and there’s nothing happening.

"I don’t know the answer to that question to be honest, mate."

Wilshere had to wait months for his next club after being released by West Ham last year.

And the 34-cap ace is desperate to avoid the same thing happening this time around.

He added: "I’m just waiting. I don’t really know how long I can wait, I don’t really want to wait as long as I did last time when I left West Ham in the summer, and then I didn’t get a club until January when I went to Bournemouth.

"I don’t really want to wait that long [again].

"So, hopefully, something will happen sooner rather than later."

Wilshere made 18 appearances last season, helping the Cherries to the Championship play-offs.
