Fikayo Tomori next club odds: AC Milan favourites to complete transfer after Chelsea talks, Leeds could scupper deal

AC MILAN are favourites to sign Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori.

According to bookmakers Betfair, Milan are 6/4 market leaders to sign the centre-back in January.

Premier League Leeds follow at 4/1 in the betting market with manager Marcelo Bielsa looking to bolster his defensive ranks.

AC's fierce rivals Inter are the outsiders of the trio at 6/1 with former Blues boss Antonio Conte a known admirer.

Tomori is reportedly looking to leave Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis having not started a match since September.

And the 23-year-old isn't against moving abroad having seriously considered a move to Rennes over the summer.

Tomori looked to have established himself in the starting XI last season and earned his first England cap against Kosovo in November 2019.

But he's fallen down the pecking order in West London with manager Frank Lampard the situation is 'open' at the moment.

He told reporters after Tomori's ten-minute cameo against League Two Morecambe: "The situation with Fikayo is open at the moment, in that he could be going on loan to get games.

"But that will have to be the right decision for him and the club.

"So while I was looking at starting him today, I was also looking at that [loan deal], and we've got to make the right decisions for us, for the club and for him.

"His attitude has been fantastic in terms of working, training every day and how he is."

AC Milan have already made contact with Chelsea representatives but journalist Fabrizio Romano claims Tomori is their back-up option.

He tweeted: "New chance for Fikayo Tomori: AC Milan have contacted Chelsea for the English centre back. Tomori would accept the destination.

"…but the main target for Milan is still Mohamed Simakan [Strasbourg]. Only if the deal will collapse, Tomori would be the option."
