He found a mile just a bit too far when a good third here last time. Dropping down a furlong looks a wise move and he’s handicapped to take this.

PRIMO’S COMET (4.45 Musselburgh, nb)

He can land his sixth course and distance win. He was unlucky at Doncaster last time and has no issues with this fast ground. The last time he ran here in June there was just a short-head in it.

FLYLIKEANEAGLE (1.50 Musselburgh, treble)

He has taken off since joining Lucinda Russell with a win and second at Ayr. He still looks well handicapped and this trip should hold no fears.

Templegate's race of the day

3.00 MUSSELBURGH

REPUTATION is back over his best trip after a good run over a furlong further here last time. That can see him return to winning ways for trainer Ruth Carr.

Baileys Liberty looks a danger after winning nicely at Carlisle over this trip 12 days ago. She gets the three-year-old weight allowance too.

REPUTATION 5

GOOD Rep. Has been in good form this summer and made it four podium placings from five runs when third here last time. Dropping down from a mile looks a smart move as he prefers this trip and is handicapped to go close.

TASHGEEL 2

TASH must grow. Won a maiden when trained by Dermot Weld in Ireland but has struggled for a while, including when last at Doncaster 12 days ago. This is a fair drop in class from a falling mark but he needs more.

ROMAN DI LORIA 3

ROM raid. Ran his best race for a while when beaten just a length at Carlisle earlier this month. He enjoyed the soft ground there so needs to show he can repeat that in these quicker conditions. Every chance if he does.

CELESTIAL STAR 3

STAR quality. Has been knocking on the door but was a bit disappointing when beaten at odds-on at Ayr last time. Tries a visor for the first time here, which could do the trick, and she looks a threat.

AIKIDO 1

AIKI-DON’T! Has beaten just one horse home this year and even a 5lb fall down the weights does little to increase confidence today.

BAILEYS LIBERTY 4

BAILEYS on ice. Plenty in hand when scoring at Carlisle last time so a 3lb rise in the weights looks fair. She is best over this trip and should have more to offer being the youngest in the field. A big danger.
