Man City 'want former academy coach and ex-West Brom star Enzo Maresca as Pep Guardiola's new assistant' | The Sun
MANCHESTER CITY want former academy coach Enzo Maresca to be Pep Guardiola's new assistant, according to reports.
The Premier League champions are looking for a new No 2 after Juanma Lillo departed the Etihad to manage Qatar's Al-Sadd Sports Club earlier this week.
City are now looking to fill the position ahead of the new season.
The Mirror report that former West Brom player Maresca is the top choice for the role.
He has pedigree and history at City, having lead the development team to a title in Premier League 2 in 2021.
He then left City last summer to take control of Italian club Parma.

It did not go to plan for the Italian, 42, and he was sacked after only four wins in 14 matches in a five-month spell.
However, he remains highly regarded by figures at the club and is thought to be the right replacement for Lillo.
During his playing career, he played for a number of clubs including Juventus, Bologna and Fiorentina.
Maresca also had spells in Spain and Greece before retiring to a coaching career.
