Man Utd stars take 10 MINUTE flight for game against Leicester as Bruno Fernandes leaves electric Porsche at airport

MANCHESTER UNITED took to the skies for their away trip to Leicester this weekend.

The Red Devils jumped on a private jet for the 100-mile journey down to the King Power Stadium.

And their stars would hardly have had time to buckle their seatbelts on the 10 MINUTE flight.

United opted for the aerial route after the M6 was unexpectedly closed on Friday.

The squad would usually make the trip to the Midlands by coach but with the motorway shut they made the short hop via aeroplane instead.

Bruno Fernandes was eager to show his green credentials by arriving at the airport in his electric Porsche.

The Portugal lynchpin beamed as he linked up with his team-mates following the international break.

Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be in a less cheerful mood as he frets over a defensive injury crisis.

Club captain Harry Maguire is struggling to recover from a calf injury.

His centre-back partner Raphael Varane is also crocked after limping off with a groin problem in France’s Nations League final against Spain.

The crisis could pave the way for the return of Phil Jones after 19 MONTHS out of the United first team.

The 29-year-old is finally fit again having endured an injury nightmare of his own which left him feeling ‘an absolute mess’.
