Both sites were contacted for comment by The Times.

Manchester United themselves have urged fans not to use unauthorised ticketing sites.

They wrote: "We strongly discourage fans from purchasing tickets from unauthorised sources.

"These tickets are often invalid, leaving fans out of pocket, disappointed and unable to see the game."

After securing his Man United return, Ronaldo was in typical goalscoring form last night.

The Portuguese star was in action for his country against the Republic or Ireland, just one goal away from breaking Ali Daei's international goalscoring record.

He fluffed his lines in the first-half, when teenage goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu saved his spot kick.

But he wasn't to be denied as he bagged a last-gasp late double.
