Top 10 most valuable teams revealed with Man Utd, Chelsea and City in top four and PSG third after Messi transfer

FOUR of the top five most valuable teams in the world come from the Premier League.

And English sides make up half of the top ten.

Paris Saint-Germain, however, have upset the apple cart, rising to third after signing six-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi.

Manchester City are unsurprisingly No1 on the list, having just fielded the most expensive team in history in their 1-0 loss to Spurs.

With new £100million signing Jack Grealish starting, City's XI cost a combined £530m – with their bench having been bought for a further £300m.

In total, according to Transfermarkt, their squad's market value comes to an astonishing £955.6m.

Second are Chelsea, bolstered by the £97.5m signing of Romelu Lukaku.

Thomas Tuchel's men are rated at a combined £898.2m.

PSG come in at third worth £894.4m – having brought in Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi and Georginio Wijnaldum.

Manchester United, bolstered by Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho's arrivals this summer, are next on the list valued at £835.4m.

While Liverpool, who have only bought Ibrahima Konate this year, are next at £814m.

German giants Bayern Munich got their business done early this summer, recruiting Dayot Upamecano, Omar Richards and Sven Ulreich.

And they are sixth at a combined value of £736.7m.

Finally the Spanish giants are up next, led by Real Madrid at £700m.

While, having lost Messi, Barcelona are eighth at £694.5m.

Atletico Madrid's title winners are ninth at £656.5m.

And Tottenham Hotspur, recent 1-0 conquerors of Man City, sneak into this list at tenth – with Nuno Espirito Santo's current squad valued at £633.6m.

Remarkably, this means that no Italian teams feature – not even Cristiano Ronaldo's Juventus.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are 16th – one place below Leicester City and only two places above Everton.
