Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) is struggling to see how he can live a quiet life with Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) and Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) carrying on as normal after their affair in Emmerdale.
Determined to get things back on track, Wendy attempted to seduce Bob this week, but she ended up feeling unwanted and unloved after he admitted that he’s struggling with the prospect of sleeping with her again after she spent months having sex with Liam.
The week ended with Bob contemplating whether or not he should murder Liam. While we don’t expect that to happen anytime soon (it’s Bob after all), it highlighted just how desperate Bob was to do something to get his life back on track. He then pointed out to Bernice (Samantha Giles) that Liam hasn’t suffered at all during this, but he’s completely fallen apart.
This new video will show the moment an irritable Bob catches Liam and Wendy leaving the house together. Understandably, his mind goes straight to them continuing the affair but just as Liam goes to explain, Bob ends up punching him in the face.
The ordeal will spiral into Bob collapsing in the street and being rushed to hospital after a heart attack.
While waiting for an ambulance, Liam rushes over to the cafe and grabs the defibrillator, which is used to try and help restart Bob’s heart.
‘He finds out that it was Liam who actually used the defibrillator on him, but he still doesn’t really want anything to do with him,’ Tony Audenshaw said.
‘He’s in a position where he’s very weak. He’s faced his own mortality, he’s already a single parent and he’s got to try and make things work with Wendy.
‘But he’s grateful to be alive.’
