Britney Spears bizarrely leaves court with no shoes after ‘asking for more freedom’ in showdown with her parents

BRITNEY Spears bizarrely left court barefoot after a showdown with her parents over her medical records.

The star reportedly asked a judge for “more freedom” in a hearing about her conservatorship, which has put her dad in control of most of her affairs for 11 years.

Britney’s mum, Lynne Spears, is trying to gain access to her daughter’s medical records after fans claimed the singer was being “held against her will” in rehab.

After listening to Britney and both of her parents speak in the unusual LA court appearance, Judge Brenda Penny ordered an expert evaluation of the 37-year-old singer's situation.

The so-called 730 expert evaluation is a competence examination that is usually used for parents in divorce cases.

It's not clear whether the examination relates to Britney’s relationship to her two sons or her parents' oversight of her.

Britney and her parents all agreed to the evaluation in the private hearing that was held behind closed doors.

After the hearing, Britney was seen leaving the court wearing no shoes and a red skirt.

Earlier she had arrived at the court holding hands with her mum Lynne as fans chanted to “set her free”.

TMZ reported that Lynne is trying to gain access to Britney’s medical information – but she does not want to become a co-conservator.

Britney's dad, Jamie, has been her sole conservator for more than 11 years, and is widely credited with saving her life back in 2008, when the singer was off the rails.

Lynne has been staying at Britney's home for more than a week.

They have reunited after being estranged for nearly 15 years. Britney is said to have cut Lynne out of her life right after her breakup with Justin Timberlake.

TMZ reported that Lynne became alarmed when she read social media claims that Jamie was allegedly forcing Britney into the mental health facility.

It’s understood that Britney checked herself in after struggling to cope with her father Jamie's illness.

Her boyfriend Sam Asghari picked her up from rehab at the end of last month following her 30-day treatment.

Last week, the Slave 4 U hitmaker broke her silence to reassure fans that "all is well" following speculation about her health.

She also finally addressed the fan theories that she was being held against her will.

In an emotional video posted on Instagram, the singer thanked fans but said that rumours had "got out of control".

She said: "All is well. My family has been going through a lot of stress and anxiety lately, so I just needed time to deal.

"But don’t worry, I’ll be back very soon.”

Britney also accused her ex-manager, Sam Lutfi, of sending fake emails pretending to be her.

“I did not write them,” Britney added.

“He was pretending to be me and communicating with my team with a fake email address."

Britney has since filed a restraining order against her former manager, accusing Lutfi of repeatedly texting her  mum, Lynne.
