Caroline Flack's massive Love Island fee 'triples in huge pay rise' after winter version of reality show is announced

CAROLINE Flack's massive Love Island fee has 'trippled in a huge pay rise' after a winter version of the reality show was announced.

The 39-year-old hosts the hit ITV2 programme and has reportedly landed a £1.2 million a year contract with the network, according to The Mirror.

The news comes after ITV announced that Love Island will be on our screens twice a year, with a winter edition taking place in South Africa as well as the traditional summer series set in Majorca.

The move means Caroline's work load will double over the next three years, and a TV source told the publication: "Caroline negotiates a good deal. She drove a hard bargain.

"It is thoroughly deserved and she is highly valued at ITV.

“Her fee for two months each year was £450,000 plus expenses but she’d only agree to commit to both series with a massive pay rise.

“She has really risen up through the ranks at ITV and is a hit on Love Island.

“She’s part of the furniture – the show wouldn’t be the same without her.”

Caroline has hosted Love Island since it returned in 2015, having previously fronted popular ITV spin-off shows The Xtra Factor and I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! Now!

The latest series of Love Island – which ends on Monday – has been the most popular to date, with six million viewers tuning in across TV and devices.

Earlier this week, The Sun exclusively revealed how viewers can get a double dose of Love Island thanks to the new deal.

A telly source told The Sun's Bizarre: "ITV bosses have been thrilled with the popularity of the show this year and enjoyed bumper viewing figures so it seemed like a no-brainer to fill the January reality TV slot left by Celebrity Big Brother.

"Caroline is now synonymous with the show so it wouldn’t seem right to have anyone else hosting it. They’ll use the same production crew too so it should all run like clockwork."

Bosses have also reached out to comedian Iain Stirling to provide the voiceover again.

The Sun Online has contacted a representative for Caroline for comment.
