With a deadly car accident, a shock accusation and a tense game of chess taking centre stage, it’s safe to say that Coronation Street kicked off the new year in an epic fashion.
The biggest development, without a doubt, saw Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) and Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) collide with pensioner Ted, who would later die, presumably as a result of his injuries.
The two girls agreed to cover up their actions, before a guilty Emma notified the police, leaving Faye with little choice but to issue her with an ultimatum.
Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), meanwhile, spoke to dad Nick Tislely (Ben Price) for the first time since seeing mum Natasha’s (Rachel Leskovac) body in the undertakers.
It was an action-packed week to say the least, and next week is shaping up to be equally as compelling, that’s for sure.
Yes, the fallout of this week’s developments continue into the next, and with so many questions left unanswered, you’re no doubt eager to find out what comes next, right?
Well, you’re in luck as we have a whopping six preview clips from next week’s episodes to tide you over until Monday.
